Guidelines - Powerful and Flexible Reporting

The PECSYS^® system allows you to harness the power of its reporting capabilities by enabling easy and customizable report generation for patients who meet specific criteria. Reports can be run for all patients, at a specified practice site as well as for specified providers. For example, you can run a report on the PECSYS^® system to answer questions such as:

	Which patients with hypertension had a prescription change for statins in the last 6 months and a blood pressure reading of over 140/90 at their last office visit?
	Which patients with Diabetes have not had an HbA1c test in over 6 months?
	Which patients with Asthma do not have a current severity assessment?
	Which patients with a diagnosis of Depression have not had a follow-up in 30 days?
	Allow future dates for perinatal items.
	Automatic BMI percentile calculations (using CDC age/gender norms) for all ages.

PECSYS^® includes many pre-loaded, standard reports, and you can create custom reports that combine any number of criteria to find particular groups of patients based on data in the registry. You can export data from the reports to Microsoft® Excel for further analysis, or use the report data with the Microsoft® Word Mail Merge feature to facilitate contacting patients.

A few highlights of PECSYS^® (4.0) are:

New process Reliability Reports and Indexes for identifying, tracking, and improving targeted patient care. New Reminder Matrix Report provides a summary of the status of all reminders with drill down to individual patients. Summary Reports: Summary report drill-downs have been enhanced by allowing drill-down into individual patient data by clicking on any patient listed in the drill down. Summary Report Documentation:   Added description of all summary report measures. The PECSYS® Multi-line report was a user requested feature. These reports deliver a view of a history of values for any patient listed. This means that you can not only view the latest blood pressure, but also see the blood pressure history for that patient. New Chronic Kidney Disease Summary Report: Chronic Kidney Disease summery report, reminders and items have been added to PECSYS®. Custom SQL Query Reports: Ability to add custom SQL query reports as XML files and run them as standard PECSYS® spreadsheet reports. Added ability to filter on number of encounters: Added the ability to filter patients by the number of encounters (i.e. select patients with at least 2 encounters in the last year). Batch-reporting allowing multiple reports to be created on demand without having to start each report individually.

In addition to the criteria-based registry reports, PECSYS^® provides reports that summarize data for a particular condition. Summary reports currently are available for Asthma, Cardiovascular Disease, Depression, Diabetes, General Prevention, Kidney Disease, and Cancer Screening and Follow-up. When previewing a summary report for any of the aforementioned conditions, you can select any summary statistic to see which patients are included or excluded from that statistic.
