Adding Items to the PECSYS^® Encounter Note Faster

Add data items faster to the PECSYS^® Encounter Note by using these simple shortcuts.

You can add items to any of our Patient Categories: Demographics, Vitals, Conditions, Medications, Laboratory Test Results, Other Diagnostic Test, Vaccinations and Immunizations, Risk Factors, Other Measures, Consults and Education, and Other Notes.

In this example we are going to add HemInfB Vaccine #1 and Yellow Fever Vaccine.

1. Open a patient Encounter (New Encounter or Edit Encounter)
   
2. Click on the Vaccinations and Immunizations gray header to bring up the Item Name list box
   
3. For faster selecting, highlight any item and click the first letter of the item you wish to add the list will skip down to the items beginning in that letter. Example: highlight 2 yr Immuns UTD and then press the “H” key
   
4. The list will skip down to the “H” items so you can then highlight HemInfB Vaccine #1
   
5. Then hold down the control button (Ctrl), and select additional items (in our example, Yellow Fever Vaccine, short name is “YlwFeverVac”)
   
6. Click OK
   
7. These two items will be added to the patients Encounter Note
