PECYSYS® Summary Reports may be edited to produce summary results for a subpopulation of patients. The following steps describe how to modify a DM (Diabetes) Summary Report using the Tobacco Smoking Risk Behavior and the Male Sex Demographic.
Select the Registry Summary Report you want to Edit, click Edit Report
Change the title of the report to reflect your change (DM Summary Report for Tobacco and Males)
Click Next
Click Add Filter to Refine
Select Risk Behaviors from Available Filter Types
Select Tobacco Smoking from Available Items
Click Next
Check Patients with risk behavior (These filter details screens will look different depending on the item category)
Select ‘current’ from the Tobacco Smoking status box
Click Continue
Now to add the Male filter, Click Add Filter to Refine
Select Demographics from Available Filter Types
Select Sex from Available Items
Click Next
Select Male (These filter details screens will look different depending on the item category)
Click Continue
Click Preview Filter
The filter should look like this:
DM Registry Summary Report 2
(
Patients with Diabetes Type 1
OR
Patients with Diabetes Type 2
)
AND
(Patients with Tobacco Smoking
AND
Tobacco Smoking = current)
AND
Sex = Male
Click Close
If the filter preview looked correct, Click Finish
You have just created a new DM Registry Summary Report for smoking males without affecting the original DM Registry Summary Report. You can now run your custom report.
