AUSTIN, TEXAS – (April 10, 2008) – The Aristos Group, Inc., makers of the Patient Electronic Care System (PECSYS®), announces the release of PECSYS® 3.6, the next major version featuring a wealth of enhancements, increased interoperability, and support for large population databases. The new version adds Diabetes Prevention and Perinatal to an already extensive list of defined medical categories. PECSYS® 3.6 is compatible with all of the latest Microsoft operating systems, including Microsoft® Vista, Microsoft® Server 2003, as well as Microsoft’s latest database management system, including Microsoft® SQL Server® 2005 and Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008.
PECSYS® is the only Healthcare Clinical Information System (sometimes referred to as a Generalized Registry or Chronic Disease Management System) that has been proven, when used in conjunction with the Wagner Chronic Care Model, to improve the health care of chronically ill patients and to greatly increase provider efficiency.
The PECSYS® clinical information system is very affordable, a fraction of the cost of traditional electronic medical record systems (EMR). Implementation of the PECSYS® software takes a matter of days compared to the months and even years needed to deploy a typical EMR system.
